Porsche Design’s Book One is a beautiful alternative to the Surface Book. Inside the Book One is a 13.3-inch QHD display, with Intel’s latest 7th generation Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage.
Porsche Design is only producing one model with top specs, and it’s planning to make it available in April priced at $2,495. That’s a lot of money for even a premium Windows laptop, but you’re really paying the cash for the design and the hinge.

I like gap in surface from design perspective. And I found i useful, like with it easier to hold it in a hand
this laptop looks awesome but it needs a GPU… when is the book two comming?
Removable processor?
It can run over 150mph if u O V E R C L O C K it
I thought that was an awesome looking laptop but when he said only 3 hours battery life in tablet mode, it was a deal breaker. Looks stylish, better than the Surface Book. But just not very practical.
That hinge is way more simple and way better than the Surface book's
Finally a bad copy of the Surface Book for more money than the original!
If you buy it you can say “ I bought a Porsche”
I'd like this better without the huge "Porsche Design" on the front.
This fancy laptop will be perfect if it has dedicated gpu. The design is absolutely perfect. I would instantly buy this one if this has gtx 1050 like the surface book2 13 inch. Btw great review. Waiting for porsche design book 2 and hope it comes with dgpu.
So I will pay 2500$ for a 1080×1920 display and a 620 HD graphics? Ok..
That bezel is huge…
I think the problem with not being to flip the display and keep it attached to the keyboard is you are stuck with only the 3 hour battery mode. In most use cases when I want to use tablet mode on my Surface Book and flip it keeping it attached to the keyboard and therefore get all the power and battery in this mode. This would be a feature I couldn't do without on a 2 in 1. I'd much rather deal with the hinge gap in the Surface Book than be limited with this laptop. It does look nice though.
Windows designers please take note. I'm keeping fingers crossed for the next surface book.
Absolutely no mention of dual core vs quad core? dedicated GPU?
The Screen Ratio is too far off for the direction technology is going. Its a beautiful machine but I'll wait till a model comes out with thin bezels
I kinda like that hinge 🙄
im almost positive I've seen that hinge on a Lenovo laptop
Despite the price, this thing is sick 😍
for 2.5k it better have a i7 7700u and a 4k display. at this price its a rip off
Porsche Design company obviously doesn't hire designers.
well a BIG difference is the Surfacebook has dedicated graphics and the Porsche doesn't… even though the Porsche is around the same price so…
…i like how ur reviews looks ,even better thn the products… 😀
That is one SEXY laptop OOlala
thats mediocre design. you buy it for its brand.
"massive gap"? puhlease
